Sensory Play
Sensory Play at Home
Calm, safe sensory bins, water play and messy play that let little hands explore texture, sound and movement.
- 8 lessons
- Ages 1 to 6
When a child feeds a teddy or runs a pretend cafe, they are practising language, turn-taking and seeing the world through someone else's eyes. You will learn how pretend play develops, how to build play corners from household items, when to join in and when to step back, and how to use role-play to prepare for big moments such as a new sibling or the first day at nursery.

In a deliberate order. Each lesson explains why the play matters, gives you activities ready to run, and ends with a small assignment for the week.
You will know what the eight lessons cover, how to fit pretend play into a normal week, and the safety rules that apply to every activity in the course.
You will recognize the main stages of pretend play, from simple copying to shared stories with roles, and know which activities fit where your child is now.
You will understand why pretend play supports language, empathy and self-control, and know three simple ways to join your child's play without taking it over.
You will be able to put together a safe dress-up box and four simple play corners (kitchen, shop, doctor, post office) from things you already have.
You will be able to use short pretend games to help your child prepare for big or new moments, such as starting nursery, a new baby or a doctor visit.
You will be able to set up small-world scenes with figures and animals and use simple homemade puppets to tell stories and talk about feelings.
You will know how to support pretend play between children of different ages, handle common arguments, and respond calmly to an imaginary friend.
You will have a written four-week plan with a theme each week, a few activities for each, and a short list of signs worth raising with a pediatrician or health visitor.

Play education, not therapy. This course gives you activities and explains why they matter. It does not assess your child or replace a pediatrician, therapist or teacher. Always supervise play, keep small objects away from children under 3 and use materials suitable for their age. Read the safety notice.
The Complete Collection includes this course and the other 5, 48 lessons in all, for $147. That saves $135 against buying them one by one.
